Apache Outdoors

Coming Soon!

Hello, my name is Bob Stevens and I am the owner, outfitter and head guide of Apache Outdoors. In my new website, I will offer a hunting, fishing or recreational experience you won't soon forget. With over 20 years of experience, I offer you, the outdoorsman, an opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it be with a friend, family member, group or a trip to the outdoors alone, you will realize what we have to offer. The San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation is where I call home and where I run my business. With over 1.86 million acres or 2,010 sq. miles to discover and explore, you are sure to leave in awe of the prestine landscape we have and how undisturbed it is.

Our reservation is home to the Apache, one of the most resilliant and strongest group of people in the world. Our ancestors fought to the end for our people's survival and because of their resistance, they have put us on the map. Now we strive to continue their sacrifice and survive in today's world to become strong willed people like they were. Our land is very rich in Apache history and the wars with the U. S. Army during the 1800's. Many of the old trails and routes they used to evade their enemies are still visible today. As an Apache myself, I am fluent in th Apache language and respect and believe in our culture. We came from a people who respected the earth as it is and cherish the beauty and go to great lengths not to alter it in any way. That is why we do not allow ATV's of any type, regardless of resistration. If by chance you have a scheduled hunting or fishing trip here on the San Carlos Reservation you may be able to visit and witness an Apache Sunrise Ceremony. It is the coming out of a young Apache woman and is a ceremony that lasts for a week. The most significant days are Friday through Sunday. It would be an experience you will never forget. So if you plan to recreate here on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation, give us a call and we will accommodate and make your next experinece in the wild outdoors one you will ever forget.

In my website you will find information pertaining to your interests and links to the San Carlos Recreation and Wildlife site for more information on fees for your visit. Also you will find photos and short stories of each species of game and fish and any outdoors activities we have to offer here at Apache Outdoors. We offer guided hunts with 1 on 1 hunter/guide hunts to 4/1 guided hunts depending on what you are after. Fishing is also a great sport we offer and with some of the best fishing in the state of Arizona, you will find a place of your own as we have over a hundred stock tanks that have largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, trout and sunfish. we have 4 rivers that have good fishing. The San Carlos River is one that winds through the town of San Carlos and is our main source of water for our wells. The Gila River comes from the eastern border and empties into the San Carlos Lake and provides some of the best fishing in the state. The Black River is on our northern boundary that we share wit the White Mountain Apache Reservation and has some of the best high country river fishing in the country. The Salt River is also on our northern boundary and offers great fishing and whitewater rafting and tubing.

For hunting we have the rocky mountain elk, coues whitetail deer, black bear, desert and rocky mtn. bighorn sheep, antelope, merriam's turkey, mt. lion, javelina and the mule deer. Although the mule deer is available only to tribal members, all other species we have to hunt is managed for quality rather than quanity. We also have small game such as quail, waterfowl and other species you can hunt. trapping is also available.

So if you decide you would like to visit our great nation, contact us and we will accommodate the best way we can. Thank You for visiting my website and please come again.
